Jamaat-e-Islami Hind supports formation of Telangana State

A high powered delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, AP led by Moulana Malik Moatasim Khan met Sri Krishna Committee and expressed its support to the demand for the division of Andhra Pradesh and creation of separate Telangana State. Jamaat is very much concerned about the need for Justice and equitable development of all the regions and people of the state 

Jamaat-e-Islami is a large and influential organization of our country having its presence in 2500 places in 22 States. With a cadre of 4 million, the organization strives for the promotion of values of justice, equality and fairness in the states social, political and economic life.
 
The demand for division of AP and creation of separate Telangana State is based on the following three reasons.

1. Historically Telangana has been a separate and independent Unit. Its merger with other two regions to form some united AP State was conditional to certain mutually agreed and signed accords. These accords have been grossly breached. Hence there is no point in continuing the statehood of united Andhra Pradesh.
2. Since from the formation of united AP, the people of Telangana region have been victims of blatant injustice and prejudices by the rulers and power holders. And there is no way to get rid of this injustice except separation when all pacts and accords were failed.
3. Manageable states with minimum heterogeneity have proved to be more successful and efficient and separation develops both the newly formed states.

Muslim View Point

It is the religious duty of Muslims to stand up for Justice and strive against injustice. They cannot remain confined to their issues and problems and cannot see the people issues through the prism of community profile. The interest of humanity and the intent of people is the interest of Islam and Muslims. Muslims are the part of the society. If society flourishes the Muslim of that Society will also prosper.
