The dawn of a newspaper

Deccan Chronicle has launched its Chennai edition today. It is very thrilling to have another newspaper. The layout, the getup, the presentation are refreshing. Above all it is very cheap. Just a rupee. Remember. A cup of tea costs Rs.2.50 in Chennai. Indian Express slashed its price to Rs 1.50 six months back. But The Hindu continues to be priced at Rs. 3.50. The same Hindu is priced Rs. 1.50 in other states. When will it reduce its price in Chennai which is still loyal to it?

It was a fine morning

Today is special to me in the sense that I am on the verge of losing my tooth. Yes. It may be unbelievable but my dentist has categorically stated that there is no other option left :I have to forego my tooth. It may be painful but it is the truth.
the dentist's name is very peculiar one. Kubernath. But he is a pucca gentleman. To the point. specific. and downto the earth professional.I like his soft approach and plain talk.
I am little bit nostalgic about my tooth. The poor little tooth. It had been with me rather it had been in me for so many years. It never complained. It never asked leave. It never tried to hoodwink me. It had been a faithful servant obeying my commands. If God had given the power of speech to it, what would have been the scenario? At this point it would have talked with me and poured its feelings in words.

Great Expectations

Jan Mohamed has been appointed by Ameer-e-Jamaat as the unit president of Central Chennai. Iam very very happy that such a young chap bubbling with enthusiasm and vigour has been selected for the job. He is a team man. He is pious, God-fearing and full of humility. He is hardworking, dedicated and known for his meticulous plans. I hope that the forthcoming days would be fantastic, action-packed and simply satisfying. We have great Expectations.
May God bless him. May God help him. May God give him strength and vision to execute the work. Aameen

In the name of Allah

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
The Beneficient, the Merciful.
Master of the Day of Judgment.
Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help.
Keep us on the right path.
The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favours.
Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those astray.
